Dissertation
The aim of the dissertation is to work in a self-defined field with the objective of producing a substantial piece of research based on critical analysis and independent thought. The only restriction on the choice of dissertation will be the appropriateness of the law chosen (which can be any area of law) as agreed with the dissertation supervisor and the dissertation tutor. The role of the dissertation supervisor underpins this part of the LLM. It is the function of the supervisor to guide the student in his/her choice of subject matter and to provide a focal point during the second and third semesters acting as support and guidance.
