Project & Programme Leadership

Most project management training focuses on tools and process. Far fewer programmes prepare leaders to govern projects as instruments of organisational strategy, where success is measured by value realisation, not just delivery against scope, time and cost.

Participants will compare major project methodologies and learn to select and adapt them to context, construct board-ready business cases backed by rigorous financial appraisal, and govern delivery using robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks. The course closes with a focus on leading project teams and communicating performance to senior stakeholders.

This course is aligned with the CMI Accredited Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management. Participants who complete this certificate and wish to progress to the full diploma may do so through LIBT's structured pathway, with this course counting towards the relevant module requirements.

Participants completing a CMI-accredited programme at LIBT become eligible for Chartered Manager status, one of the most widely recognised professional designations in management worldwide.

The Association for Project Management (APM) has recognised LIBT's Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management under its Pathway 2 Recognised Assessment for the Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) designation, placing LIBT among a select group of institutions whose assessment meets APM's professional standard.

Academic Progression

For participants who wish to convert professional achievement into formal academic qualifications, LIBT's programmes provide direct pathways to postgraduate and undergraduate degrees at partner universities including the University of London, Coventry University, the University of Lancashire, the University of Portsmouth, the University of Essex, the University of Wolverhampton and Acacia University in the United States.
