Investment Analysis & Financial Markets

Investment decisions made without rigorous analytical foundations expose organisations and clients to unnecessary risk. Yet many finance professionals who find themselves responsible for investment analysis or treasury management have never received structured training in securities evaluation, market regulation or portfolio construction.

Participants will develop practical proficiency in evaluating equity, fixed income and derivative securities, examine the regulatory frameworks governing global financial markets including the London Stock Exchange, and apply portfolio management principles to construct and review investment strategies aligned with client or organisational objectives. The course draws on current regulatory standards including MiFID II, Basel III and FCA conduct of business rules, ensuring direct relevance to professionals operating in regulated financial environments.

This course is aligned with the CMI recognised Postgraduate (Level 7) Diploma in Accounting and Finance. Participants who complete this certificate and wish to progress to the full diploma may do so through LIBT's structured pathway, with this course counting towards the relevant module requirements.
