About this course

Why This Course

Senior leaders are routinely required to interpret financial statements, defend budgets and make resource decisions, yet many have never been formally trained to do so. This course closes that gap directly, giving non-finance executives the fluency to engage with financial data on equal footing with specialists.

Participants will learn to read and interrogate core financial statements, understand the governance and compliance context behind the numbers, and apply cost and budgeting frameworks to their own areas of responsibility. The course closes by examining how technology and data analytics are reshaping financial forecasting, and how leaders can use this shift to their advantage.

This course is aligned with the CMI Accredited Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management. Participants who complete this certificate and wish to progress to the full diploma may do so through LIBT's structured pathway, with this course counting towards the relevant module requirements.
