Turn the knowledge you have already built into formal academic credit. Recognition of Prior Learning is an evidence-based route that recognises what you have genuinely learned through your career and maps it to a recognised qualification.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows you to gain academic credit for learning you have already achieved, whether through professional practice, in-house training, or independent study. Rather than repeating what you already know, RPL lets you focus on what is new, shortening your path to a full qualification while upholding the same academic standards as any other route.
Why choose RPL
Get recognised for what you already know.
RPL is designed to identify the knowledge and skills you have already developed and credit them against the learning outcomes of your chosen qualification.
Built on Your Professional Learning
RPL recognises learning, not simply time spent in a role. If you can demonstrate that your experience has produced knowledge and skills equivalent to part or all of a qualification, that learning can be credited, allowing you to concentrate on the areas that are genuinely new to you.
Assessed Your Way
We offer three assessment routes: portfolio-based, assignment-based, and a summative professional interview. This flexibility ensures your individual experience is evaluated fairly and against the appropriate academic standard.
A Clear, Timely Outcome
You will receive the outcome of your assessment within 30 to 45 days of submitting your evidence. Where you are awarded partial credit, you simply complete the remaining modules to achieve the full qualification.
How it works
A clear, three-step process.
From your first enquiry to your final outcome, the RPL process is transparent and designed to support you at every stage.
01
Check Your Eligibility
Submit your CV and any supporting documents, and take part in an initial professional interview. Our team reviews your background against the learning outcomes of your chosen qualification and advises on the credit you may be eligible to claim. This is an honest assessment of where you stand, not a guarantee of credit.
02
Evidence and Assessment
If you choose to proceed, our assessors evaluate your evidence through your chosen route. Every assessment is fair, transparent, and rigorous, ensuring the learning you claim genuinely meets the required academic standard. You will be notified of the outcome by email.
03
Outcome and Certification
Once your assessment is complete and any applicable fees are settled, we begin processing your award. Where full credit is achieved, your certificate is issued. Where partial credit is awarded, you complete the remaining modules to finish your qualification. Certification typically takes a further two to four weeks.
