About this course

Why This Course

This course is designed specifically for qualified teachers working across a range of educational settings, including nurseries, special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) provisions, and primary and secondary schools worldwide.

It draws on both academic research and professional practice, supporting you to develop knowledge and understanding while studying for a high-level qualification alongside your current role within a school community.

Specialist pathways

You can choose from four specialist pathways, depending on your interests and professional focus:

  • Development of Expert Teaching: ideal for those new to the profession looking to master the foundations of successful practice.

  • Mentoring in Education: designed for established practitioners interested in supporting and developing the next generation of teachers.

  • Contemporary Issues in Global Education: aimed at educators worldwide, this pathway focuses on issues in education today—sustainability, digital technology, funding and innovation—all examined from a global perspective.

Note: the above course overview reflects the full master's degree. By completing the Postgraduate Diploma Education at the London Institute of Business and Technology, you'll gain an understanding of many of these key areas, and have the option to complete the full master’s programme.
