About this course

Why This Course

WHY THIS COURSE

This online Global MBA is designed for ambitious professionals looking to fast-track their career in business, choose a specialist pathway, and gain Chartered status through CMI and CIMA.

The programme is available to be studied as a full MBA degree with six core modules, four optional modules, and a strategic project.

Students who complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management (including the optional modules) at the London Institute of Business and Technology are exempted from five core modules and one optional module from the Global MBA course requirement. Students are therefore only required to complete the remaining one core module, three optional modules from the Finance pathway, and the Strategic Project to gain the Master of Business Administration (MBA).

To gain the specialist Finance award, at least three of your optional modules and the Strategic Project must be from the Finance specialist area.

The programme is accredited by CMI, CIMA, and The Corporate Governance Institute (TCGI). On completion, you receive the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice and Foundation Chartered Manager status. The Finance pathway is designed for professionals working in or moving into corporate finance, investment management, financial markets, and risk management, covering international corporate finance, financial markets and institutions, portfolio management, and risk management and decision-making. Completing the Corporate Governance and Ethics module earns an Associate-level certification from TCGI, recognised globally by leading employers in governance and compliance.

Note that the qualification you will receive will be Master of Business Administration (MBA), whereas the title of the programme is Global MBA. The above course overview reflects the full master's degree. By completing the Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management, you'll gain an understanding of many of these key areas, and have the option to complete the full master’s programme. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for more than one core module may affect CMI's ability to confer the award of the CMI Level 7 Diploma, although you may still be eligible for the CMI Level 7 Certificate or Level 7 Award.
