About this course

Why This Course

Communication is the single most cited capability gap among new managers and junior professionals. Most people can talk. Far fewer can communicate with genuine clarity, adapt their style to different audiences or handle conflict constructively when it arises.

Participants will examine how communication systems work in organisations, explore the differences between formal and informal communication, and develop practical strategies for communicating more effectively in every direction. The course closes with a focused treatment of conflict management and decision-making, giving participants confidence to address difficult conversations before they escalate. Throughout, the course addresses how AI-powered communication tools are reshaping workplace communication and what professionals need to know to use them responsibly.

This course is derived from LIBT's CMI-accredited Undergraduate Diploma in Business and Management. Participants who complete this certificate and wish to gain academic credit may submit the module assignment through LIBT's academic pathway. Completing the full diploma makes you eligible for CMI Foundation Chartered Manager status and provides direct entry into the final year of an undergraduate degree at one of LIBT's university partners.
