The LLB (Hons) Top-Up degree is designed to provide essential training for individuals aspiring to become successful solicitors or barristers.
Upon completing the degree, graduates will be equipped with:
practical legal skills developed through mooting, mediation, negotiation, and arbitration
knowledge of cutting-edge research topics including war crime trials, hate crimes, and women in prison
a broad and comprehensive understanding of how law operates and the inner workings of legal practice
the skills and experience required to enter the legal profession, including roles as a solicitor, barrister, legal advisor, or in sectors such as banking, management, public service, and academia
Note: The above reflects the full LLB (Hons) programme outcomes. By completing the Qualifi Level 5 Extended Diploma in Law, you will have gained an understanding of many of the key foundational areas, and will complete the final year to achieve the full degree.
Entry Requirements
This programme is designed for motivated people who are ready to invest in their future. Here is what we look for.
If you have formal qualifications, you will need one of the following:
- Qualifi Level 5 Extended Diploma in Law OR Qualifi Level 4 Diploma in Law and Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in Law (combined).
- IELTS: 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5.
If you do not have formal qualifications, that is okay too. We also welcome applicants who have:
- Applicants without a Level 5 Diploma but holding significant legal experience may be considered for an alternative accelerated pathway on a case-by-case basis.
