WHY THIS COURSE

The BSc (Hons) Cyber Security and Networking top-up degree is delivered online by NCC Education and awarded by the University of Lancashire. It is a natural progression from the Qualifi Level 5 Extended Diploma in Cyber Security and is designed for those ready to complete their undergraduate degree at a reputable UK university.

The programme aims to equip graduates with the knowledge, technical and interpersonal skills necessary for taking part in the design, implementation, management and security of modern computer systems. It will enable them to work as professionally-minded cyber security practitioners able to meet the responsibilities and challenges demanded in the cyber security industry.

By working in partnership with CompTIA, graduates of this programme will be offered the opportunity to achieve an additional professional IT certificate in either Cyber Security (CySA+) or Cloud Infrastructure (Cloud+).

NCC Education has also partnered with Immersive Labs to offer students hands-on experience tackling cybersecurity challenges through a cloud-based platform, providing greater depth of understanding of the cyber security challenges facing organisations today.

This programme equips students with technical computing skills that will enable them to enter a number of varied senior roles, including:

Who is eligible to apply for this BSc top-up?
This final year is open to graduates of the Qualifi Level 4 and Level 5 Diploma in Cyber Security or equivalent qualifications approved by NCC Education and the University of Lancashire. LIBT graduates holding the Qualifi Level 5 Extended Diploma in Cyber Security (240 credits) are eligible for direct entry. Contact our admissions team to confirm your eligibility before applying.
What will I study in the final year?
You will study five core units: Advanced Database Management Systems, Corporate Communication Systems Management, Cloud and Virtualisation Security, Cyber Security Management, and Information Systems Projects. All units are delivered online by NCC Education through weekly video lectures, tutorial exercises, discussion forums, and live sessions with subject experts, supplemented by hands-on practice through the Immersive Labs platform.
What does completing this degree give me and can I progress further?
On successful completion, you are awarded the BSc (Hons) in Cyber Security and Networking by the University of Lancashire.
